Dr. Ehrmantrout & team, dispelling the myths about braces

Trust us when we say we are well-aware that there are quite a few myths about orthodontics (and orthodontists) flying around nowadays. But before you buy into those myths, Dr. Ehrmantrout and team want you to get the facts! Our friends at the American Association of Orthodontists set the record straight (no pun intended) and have provided some information that sheds some light on the myths and facts of orthodontics. We're BAAAAACK!

We are back! The Damon forum was great! We all had such a wonderful time but man we are all so happy to be home!

Some neat items coming down the road include bicuspid to bicuspid clear Damon braces for the upper arch (currently we are only able to offer cuspid to cuspid). We are also beginning to offer customized Damon braces for select cases, which includes a process similar to what we do for Invisalign treatment (It is called Insignia if you want to google it).

Dr. Ehrmantrout & team, supporting National Children's Dental Health Month

Each February for the past 61 years, the American Dental Association (ADA) has sponsored National Children's Dental Health Month to raise awareness about the importance of oral health. Developing good habits at an early age and scheduling regular dental visits helps children get a good start on a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums.

For kids wearing braces, brushing and flossing can become more difficult, requiring extra time and vigilance to remove food particles that accumulate on and between the teeth and in braces. If the health of your teeth is ignored during treatment with braces, the results can be significantly compromised. Dr. Ehrmantrout is available and happy to explain why effective brushing and flossing is one of the most critical actions needed from patients during orthodontic treatment.
